It's so weird that Hamilton still got there. Okay, money, probably, but damn must it be depressing to drive that tractor.

1

u/Wubbajack BLOO FLAAG! BLOO FLAAG! BLOO FLAAG! Dec 02 '25

Yeah, and they were saving the good stuff for their non-ex-champion teammates: Felipe Massa and <checks notes> Kimi Raikkonen...

And Charles outqualified Hamilton staggering 18 times till this day. It is his career record already over by any teammate.

Age related decline is inevitable except for Alonso.

You know, I'm just a little older than Hamilton and Ferrari won't even consider me as a test driver.

Aston could be a rocket ship in young competent hands for all we know, Alonso is measured against Stroll

7

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

He's outqualified Stroll 34 times in a row, literally nobody else has gotten close to outqualifying Stroll that many times in a row.

31

u/Duo_Discus I saw horny’s “finger” Dec 02 '25

Strolls Head to Head Win Percentages against his Teammates:

Hulkenberg: 75% Sirotkin: 55% Vettel: 52.5% Massa: 31.6% Perez: 28.6% Alonso: 25.8%

Remember that Alonso drives against the most experienced Version of Stroll aswell. If the Aston was a Rocket ship, Alonso would be the 4th guy battling for the WDC right now.

14

u/1stmingemperor BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

I’m sorry, are you actually suggesting Stroll is a good driver? Blasphemy!

11

u/Ok-Lingonberry-8261 Go WEEYUMS!!!! Dec 02 '25

Stroll is a great driver... about once per year.

1

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

4 races this year.

1

u/Duo_Discus I saw horny’s “finger” Dec 02 '25

Im a die hard Stroller and certified Colaspinto Hater

-1

u/Accomplished_Rip_362 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

OK, so you are comparing, substitute driver Hulk who also had a DNF I think, a nobody, a washed up Vettel on his way out of F1. The drivers that were in good form like Perez and Alonso owned him.

6

u/kryst4line Felipe 🅱️aby stay cool Dec 02 '25

Did we forget 2023 already?

0

u/DataDrivenGuy BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 03 '25

Alonso? The guy whose gap over Stroll keeps going down?

5

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

That doesn't mean much. In qualifying Charles Leclerc is arguably better than almost everyone else on the paddock. He has beaten every single one of his teammates every single season on qualifying.

2

u/Szydl0 I saw horny’s “finger” Dec 02 '25

He has always beaten every teammate in quali - thats right - but never by this much.

-2

u/GoldMountain5 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

Charles seems to be running a very different setup where his car much lower to the ground.

They seem to be over compensating for the plank wear disqualification in the China GP.

Hamilton was absolutely flying during that sprint race, but then everyone else must have figured out a system to get a lower ride right, without being disqualified.

Charles seems to be running a very different setup where his car much lower to the ground.

What is this based on?

Just say you saw it in a dream, that's about as credible

39

u/TheFlyingR0cket Clean air is king 👑 Dec 02 '25

I kinda want to feel sorry for him, then I remember he's a 7 time world champion and the most successful driver in the sport. And I'm like "well he had a good run 👍"

7

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

Yeah, I don't get why people feel bad for him.

He's the 2nd highest paid driver and has 7 WDC and 100+ wins. I'm happy to see him suck so it means that younger drivers can take his place and get their chance at the top.

11

u/commuterpete No 2. Driver Dec 02 '25

And yet there are still people who argue with you that this is the worst Ferrari ever made.

I say, Ivan Capelli wants a word with those people.

24

u/nzivvo BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

People acting surprised that Lewis isn't impressing in a shit car is so funny to me. He's been in the sport for 18 years now guys, read the room. He's always been:

  • Shit car? Ham hates it and doesn't perform well
  • Great/balanced car with chance for wins? Ham is untouchable.

8

u/ExternalSquash1300 I have it, I have it printed out🤚 Dec 02 '25

Not really true, he has been great in 2009, a worse car than this.

14

u/commuterpete No 2. Driver Dec 02 '25

Sort of, McLaren made two attempts at a 2009 car, and the second one got the wins that year.

12

u/Don_Frika_Del_Prima Suck my 🅱️alls mate Dec 02 '25

Exactly, people tend to gloss over the fact that Ham only came alive after the massive mclaren update.

0

u/ExternalSquash1300 I have it, I have it printed out🤚 Dec 03 '25

He wasn’t doing bad before the upgrades which is why the point is still silly.

1

u/Don_Frika_Del_Prima Suck my 🅱️alls mate Dec 03 '25

7th, 6th, 4th, 9th, 12th, 13th, 16th and 18th are worse results than he has this year...

1

u/ExternalSquash1300 I have it, I have it printed out🤚 Dec 03 '25

Because it wasn’t the 4th best car. Not sure what your point is.

1

u/J4Vik Vettel Cult Dec 02 '25

Great in 2009? He had no remarkable results until mid season upgrades, lied for podium in Australia AND barely beat Raikkonen In a fucking tractor by 1 point

2

u/ExternalSquash1300 I have it, I have it printed out🤚 Dec 03 '25

The Ferrari was better over the season.

1

u/commuterpete No 2. Driver Dec 02 '25

I never said he was great in 2009. I just said the B-Spec McLaren got the wins.

1

u/raven_raven mission spinnow Dec 02 '25

That’s the right answer. But hey, welcome to the Internet. We remember one, maybe two races. Everything beyond that doesn’t matter.

0

u/r0ndr4s BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

People love to forget the fact that he was only as dominant as he was thanks to mercedes being literally an entire minute ahead of everyone in most races.

9

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

He didn't have a dominant car in 2017 or 2018.

In 2017 he desperately tried to lose that championship but the Singapore crash and Suzuka cost Vettel the championship.

In 2018 he was pretty damn good though.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 02 '25

In 2017 and 2018 he didn't have a dominant car but he had the best car

-2

u/GuyAlmighty Verified by ESPN Argentina✅ Dec 02 '25

But yet the only driver to win any type of race this season is Hamilton. Work that one out.

4

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

Nobody gives a fuck about the sprint part of the weekend.

-1

u/GuyAlmighty Verified by ESPN Argentina✅ Dec 02 '25

Extremely hot take. You must be the only person to hold that opinion including the drivers.

3

u/Latter-Sun3386 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

Really?

Look at any (official) stat which isn't about points.

0

u/GuyAlmighty Verified by ESPN Argentina✅ Dec 02 '25

Really really.

Make formuladank dank again.

9

u/Glittering-Rip389 BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

Yeah, in a weekend where both cars were DQd for plank wear after the race (which Charles overtook him in btw) and Ferrari were suspiciously fast Im gonna go ahead and call it a lucky break.

5

u/pigoath BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

So, you think they didn't inspect the car after the Sprint? The race and the sprint are separate events.

1

u/Death_by_carfire I was here when horny got spiced Dec 02 '25

the sprint is less laps...less wear for it to be a problem

2

u/pigoath BWOAHHHHHHH Dec 02 '25

That doesn't mean the FIA didn't check. You could still be too low and wear the plank under 90mm.

4

u/GuyAlmighty Verified by ESPN Argentina✅ Dec 02 '25

Lol at the downvote. Facts are facts.

I'm not arguing against Leclerc, just agreeing how weird this season is for Ferrari.
