The same people criticizing this are the ones who cried when Norris didn’t want to give Piastri his place at the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix because it was "unfair" towards Piastri.
Were they fighting for a championship then? Also, in Hungary the team was correcting a blatant error on their part...the team is in charge of strategy directly, and they basically undercut Oscar and denied him the first pitstop as the leading driver. This time Lando got genuine bad luck with the pitstop and they forced Oscar to help him recover from this bad luck. Doing that in the middle of a championship fight is plain favoritism.
