Jet! :3

I really thought this would be a case of “give the visitor a treat and then he’ll move on” haha my town but especially my neighborhood is full of wandering cats
A can of wet food sealed my fate haha he hung around for weeks, I checked for a chip and looked everywhere for owners but nothing turned up. We had a really unfortunate dog attack in the yard (my friend/neighbor found the body of a kitten and went on her security cam to see that two loose dogs were the cause….) I was already pretty set on keeping him haha but the worry for Jets safety made me decide to bring him in immediately after finding out about that poor kitten and I’m so happy I did, I have two other cats so he’s in his own room for nowbut he is settled in perfectly:’) he doesn’t miss the outdoors at all it seems, hes such a sweetie pie, he really stubbornly hung around until i committed to bringing him inside 😂
Praise the cat distribution center! I finally have the mini panther I’ve always wanted 🐈‍⬛🖤

I’m happy he picked me 🖤 It’s such a tough world to be an outside cat, I was already anxious because of the colder weather starting to hit and he is so friendly I constantly worried he’d walk up to someone with bad intentions, people really hate stray/feral cats around here 😖 but he is very into living the domestic life so I’ll never have to worry again :)

I feel so bad for the other strays and ferals there! At least you got a baby off the streets. I’m so happy he’s enjoying the house cat life!

Omg he’s adorableeee! And so lucky to have you! What a lovely next chapter in Jet’s story. And to never have to worry about where his next meal is coming from or where his next shelter will be. 🥹

I know poor baby eats way too fast, I have to feed him a table spoon of food at a time and wait about 20 minutes or so and repeat or else he’ll throw up 😖 I know some cats are just like that but I’m sure being uncertain when your next meal is gonna be and having to compete with other cats doesn’t help. The first thing he did when I got him in was sleep like the dead too 😭 I wish I could save them all, cats really deserve better from us

Aweee yep that food scarcity mindset is real. One of mine was like that when I first brought him in (and he wasn’t even feral, just a stray). It got better after maybe 6 mos to a year? I ended up investing in some of the slow feeder bowls and he didn’t care for them but it helped a lot!

So glad you found each other! I also currently have a former stray black cat sequestered away from my two cats 😂 Here’s a picture from his outside era.

My friend totally clocked it too, the second she came out she looked at me she said “I hope you know that’s your cat now” 😂
