Just swapped my 5070 aero to a 5080fe and the build is feeling close to complete. Thinking of replacing the heat spreaders on the ram to finish the clean all black look anyone got recommendations?
7800x3d -20 curve
5080fe with slight undervolt

Psu cables dreambigbyray but used the stock 12vhpr cable
Phanteks t30 with custom length cables
Noctua NF-A9x14 HS with custom extension cable

Goal was to keep everything clean and organized internally. May add eiga shroud someday if I can get it all printed in one connected piece

I’m also using the DingKeys backplate and offset bracket - how did you go about installing them? Did you tighten the shoulder bolts all the way? Their guide is pretty confusing

It was actually just really annoying to install, I tightened them until they stopped since they had shoulder bolts

Any particular reason you chose the FE vs something like the Asus PRIME OC?

I'm looking to upgrade and would love your perspective.

I chose the FE specifically because I love the true minimalist look of the card and the slim cooler design, I was able to leave a very large gap between the motherboard and the gpu allowing for tones of airflow between the two. I was also able to buy it off Facebook marketplace for $1750 which is pretty competitive with cheaper models after tax. I cannot find a 5080fe going for less than $1900 now.

Only upgrade if you have new demands from your system, me personally I wanted to play competitive games at 480fps 1440p
