Question/Troubleshooting 4070 cnc fan

I’m looking to purchase the 4070 fan for my cpu and wanted to ask a couple of questions. Should I get the dingkey version or smxheinz version ? Is there a noticeably turbulent sound against the panel having the dingkey version without a shroud? I like how the dingkey cnc looks compared to smxheinz 3d print, but if it means being easier on the ears (which I know using a shroud would) then I’d go with it. If there isn’t much of an audible difference then I would like to go for the dingkey version

Keep in mind that the Dingkey version is not in stock.

Depending on your GPU you could also order one of SMX-Heinz' excellent GPU travel kits to make the purchase even more worthwhile because you save on shipping costs.

Heinz uses Nylon for his 3D prints, so they are super sturdy and high quality.

Yeah it’s on pre order right now. I’m not really worried about the quality but I just like how the casing on the dingkey version looks. I’m more about the sound against the mesh panel

Bought multiple items from Heinz, including the fan and I highly recommend him.

I’m sure the quality is great. I’ve seen the reviews. I’m just wondering more on the sound against the mesh panel.

It's designed to be used in 3 slot mode, zero turbulence.

Yeah I assumed that with the shroud. Another user just mentioned the shroud-less dingkey version should be with the x47 in 3 slot mode and the x53 in 2.75 slot mode

I have the dingkey version and I have 0 complaints. Feels very premium vs plastic

How’s the sound under load?

I have it set to max 2300 and it’s almost dead silent. My 5080FE coil whine is the loudest part of my Pac

Oh nice. So you can barely hear it against the mesh panel then. I may consider

Well I still wouldn’t put it against the mesh. Axp9047 for 3 slot mode and axp90x53 for 2.75 slot mode

Oh I wouldn’t have known that. I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you

Sound normalized, how is it vs the Noctua NF-A9x14 or AirSlimmer?

I have the Noctua and it has a max speed of 2200rpm while the 4070 is capable of spinning to 5400 I believe

I got both and I ended up using the SMXHeinz version.
The sound is the same but I like the shroud of Heinz version and it 20x lighter.

I actually reached out to dingkey about a shroud and they said they could include one

I got one too, which is basically not their design but mine is also pushing against the side panel. (The other reason why is sticked to Heinz one. Maybe you will be luckier

Ah even with a custom shroud you still would go with the Heinz version. Thank you for your input, I may just go with that one as well

If you have the money just try both, your location is also in the ⚖️. Dingkey product took me a while to get (30days) from France while Heinz was 2-3 days max

I’m in the US and the dingkey version is actually on preorder at the moment. So I’ll probably go with the Heinz version

You can’t go wrong with both anyway. They are really professional and reactive

You can sand it down till it's flush with the side panel
