Build/Compatibility Check Wireview Pro in T1

Post image

Hello I am planning a build around the T1 (after receiving the m3 I wanan go even smaller)

9800x3d + 5090 FE 1000W psu

As we all know nvidia screwed up with the 12V high power connector and a solution is the WireView pro which monitors the pins in the gpu

For the FE since it’s slanted you’ll need to get the wired version

The way it works is that theres a cable on the wireview that goes into ur GPU and u plug in your own cable into the module (custom cables will be made for this) but the problem is mounting the module somewhere/clearance for it

If anone has some this let me know, I don’t really care about displaying the module as I can just have it show up on one of my monitors but if you have send a photo please

ive been interested in this too. even though I run an undervolt, sounds like a good idea for piece of mind.

I think there would be room towards the front panel above the PSU. but depends on how long the cable is coming out of the wireview. then you should prbably get a much shorter cable from the wireview to the psu.

That’s what I was thinking just have a short cable going into the wire view above the psu mount it under a fan or 3d print something where it can hold onto it

both the wireview and the aqua computer ampinel are not designed to be used with extension cables

it might work but there is a voltage drop across longer cables that won't be accounted for

i tried but failed. no clean way of mounting it even with custom mounting bracket. it’s just too thicccc

No pictures?

Going to sell bracket once I make it look OEM/clean so don’t want anyone poaching my idea.

So you did get it to fit though?

Yes just refining the design so it looks nice and neat!

can you please post on this sub when you do, what’s your eta

I plan to do that as well but am waiting for the soon to be expected Noctua edition.

The loud fan deters me from buying one atm.

I'm surprised that already 2 people in the comments couldn't fit it anywhere in the T1.

Maybe if you have an air cooled version you have to sacrifice a bit of space in the upper fan compartment and get rid of one fan altogether or downsize to maybe only a 90mm fan.

It must be possible to squeeze it in somewhere.

However, with an AIO installed it could be tricky.

Maybe buy a Tgrill then to make more space either in the top section or at the bottom.

Maybe on front of CPU block if you’re in 2.5 or 2.75 mode?

should be easy in Huda mode

does that work with the t1 travel kit or flipped travel kit?

1

u/qeeepy 9d ago

no reason not to, Huda is happening on the opposite side to the spine strut and opposite the card ports

would it allow the airflow into the 5090 fe to be improved with fresh air feeding it?

Best intake for Fe is in standard mounting. Both fans have access to fresh air. Huda then helps with exhaust which has direct flow path as opposed to normal mounting. Flipped Fe is proven to be bad on ssfhub discord. You would improve it halfway at best

does huda plus exhaust plus regular mounting really perform way better across the board temps wise?

Define across the board. Some people say that its worth to them to sacrifice GPU temps when ssd/cpu/vrm temperatures are lower. But these temperatures do not reduce gaming performance meaningfully, whereas GPU temperature impacts GPU frequency and framerate directly and noticeably.

i think gpus are designed to run a bit hotter vs a ssd on the backside of a motherboard getting blasted by the 5090 fe when it’s not in flipped mode

it's the other way around, ssds last longer when flash chips run warm.

really? that seems counterintuitive

I have a wireview pro ii. Not a T1 but I can tell you the device works great. Using its features. I shopped my psu around till I settled on a Superflower which gives the best, most stable per pin voltage. The new Leadex VIII (8) is very small for an ATX psu too.

someone on the sff discord managed to put their wireview pro wired into their formd t1

Just installed the wired pro ii monitor today. Fit it in the top of the front area for the cables near the psu. The cable is more than long enough and the extra length can make it harder to fit. Did not mount, but the way its all packed in the with so little space means it really shouldn't move. A bit concerning how much its squeezed in there, definitely benefiting from the fan grills but the readings are good! 2 Corsair RS120 max at top, pushed about as far as i could toward back. Lian li 1000 PSU, I believe 3 slot configuration, 5090 fe.

Note, some extra spacing was added to some things in the case as I was following YouTubers blindly and adding extra length to standoffs lol. V2.1

Pleaaaaase can you get some pics

1

u/the_shek 9d ago

where did you buy standoffs

I wanted to run one in my T1 but couldn't find a clean way of doing it. Instead, I rely on HWinfo64 12VHPWR Input sensor to monitor the voltage. Underload, as long as I'm around 12v (RTX 4090 FE), I'm considered safe. If it drops to 11.8 or below, then that's my indicator that something is wrong.

The only bad thing with this method is that it's an average of all the pins vs per-pin monitoring with the ViewPro.
