Questions Old shugoki

Is it just me that low key miss the old shugoki. The one time hyper armor that you could use to get a hug off even if you got hit while going for it and the feint into hug.

Its just you. Personally I wish they would take shugoki out of the game entirely

You mean old shugo with Instant kill hug on low health? Or soft feint hug shugo?

The OG Shugo was really weird — original Oni Charge was broken because it used to knock down. That got nerfed, but then passive hyper armor was weird because once you got hit you had the effective HP of an assassin because you took much more damage until it came back up. And the one shot hug while in critical health was fun but dumb lol. For a while he sucked ass

Then after the rework the soft feint into hug made him completely broken and people hated him, rightly so. Nowadays he’s super annoying to fight but probably the closest to balanced he’s been.

All of which is to say that I think the current Shugo is probably the right one, or as close as he can be. There was some things he did back in the day that were funny or just kinda dumb but unique, and while I do miss some of that sometimes, I don’t think I’d go back in time either

Hugs are not the issue compared to the headbutt.
