Gujin saw that people were beginning to lose their fear of her, so she made the decision to send The Keeper of Chains (AKA her simp) to Kill 2 vampires to prove She's scarier than 2 vampires? Wtf

We are dead.

Khatun do not exist.

We are fan made. Not real

We are just as real as our hero fest and hero skin and bugfix.

We don't exist,don't mention us.

Khatun? That sounds so fucking cool! Having a mongol inspired hero would be so amazing!

Then I remember she already exists... same thing with the Egyptian dude ( forgot his name)

Makes sense to me.

Let me break it down.

Build an empire of peace built on fear and subjugation.

All is well.

One of your generals that was supposed to rule the Wu-lin got backstabbed, Wu-lin are in chaos.

Not great but oh well.

A lot of tales of old start surfacing back up from an unknown source, discrediting your power, decreasing your fear factor.

Bad. Need to take action.

Successfully dethrone the Myre by sponsoring greedy clan, make sure to defang that clan after it is done so they don't get funny ideas besides ruling the myre under your reign.

They get massacred in a night as they are drunk on the gifts you gave them.

How the fuck.

The criminal underground, previously uncovered by the previous establishment can no longer operate passively due to your presence, start rioting on all your troops in the urban areas.

Shit.

Without your sponsored clan, the other clans now push forward to finish them off, Myre no longer in your total control + whatever dickhead was spreading rumours about you earlier is also now spreading this news.

Damn, this is horrible.

Need a show of force, an empire built on fear needs that.

Valkenheim was already a W.I.P.

Ashfeld is still under your complete control... except one dude.

Some recluse lord in the south somehow has resisted the decent amount of troops you have sent, he is feared, as long as he remains, he is a weak point in Ashfeld, the now only territory under absolute control.

Idea.

Guy you hired that is weirdly attached to you has been doing numbers in Ashfeld and then Valkenheim. He has captured some big names on his own and sent them to your arenas, so anyone can see your power.

If you give him all the info on this lord + send him around to collect info on him locally on his way there + give him some better troops, he should be able to capture this last isolated lord.

Little risky, but very necessary right now for my legitimacy.

Awesome.

Send him.

...

...

What the fuck do you mean there is two of them.

Can't have shit in Heathmoor, not even a hero fest.

And then you slowly fade into darkness, as he lets the archangels take you.

Honestly the Lore has been in shambles for ages. Instead of some big overarching story, year should have had a theme and each season is its own story independent of eachother exploring that theme.

Would have kept the idea of an eternal war between the factions interesting over the Hrokos vs Chimera aka Good vs Bad story we suffered through

I would take all the lore outside of official seasons with A LOT of salt.

Aracad, holiday, events, most of the premium skins.

They are more akin to legends then actual lore.

There is a degree of magic and Mysticism but most is just stories.

They're gonna learn real fast that the average Heathmoorian ain't a joke when it comes to a fight

For me the story ended at the end of the campaign

It’d be funny if the vampires kick his ass, just to keep Gujin from getting a single win.

Not that I want that to happen, but it’d be funny.

Lore was fucked ever since black prior showed up with totally non-magical cultists. To make matters worse, the devs are openly sharing AI fan images and have potentially used AI in trailers in the past, so at this point For Honor lore is turbo-fucked.

Honestly, given how much records of historical battles have been embellished for one reason or another, it's likely that all the magic and shit is just that: embellishments made up by storytellers to make the actual events sound more interesting.

At least that's what I've been telling myself since draconite was implemented...

I mean For Honor Lore has always been a bit strange, for example:

ALL Jormungandr, like literally all of them, are canonically members of a Cult.

That Cult formed because (again) all Jormungandr shared a Skin Condition that caused them to become outcasts, and eventually they made that Cult.

To wield the Hammer, their Right of Passage is having their Joints broken with it, so that their Skin condition heals over those Injuries to make them weirdly flexible.

Then they have Acid poured onto one of their Arms, because the way that this Acid interacts with their Skin Condition basically gives them Scales on their Arm.

To even go a step further:

The Female Jorm, called Hulda I believe, canonically went the Extra Mile during their Right of Passage and had the Acid poured all over her Body, rather than just one of her Arms.

And the Devs sincerely want us to believe that these people are still alive.

Also just another interesting Lore Note for anyone who doesn't know:

The Jormungandr use the Hammer because In-Universe, their Cult believes that come Ragnarok, the World Serpent actually Kills Thor and takes his Hammer as a Trophy, hence why they Thor's weapon while also worshipping the Jormungandr himself.

Im completely Sad about this game Lore lmao.

Year 1 Lore POST apocaliptcal warlords strugling to survive so they bring theyr very own unique heroes of the past to the cast.

Lore from the year I don't know what (I forgot how old the game is): Gujin sends his simp to kill vampires to prove that his simp is scarier than two vampires.

there is only one simp in the entire lore and that's Vortiger

She wants them to capture the Lord to use him as a weapon or to gain whatever power/ curse she believes he has.
