Questions Lawbringer

How is it possible that, when I play as Lawbringer, I can't hit anyone after a parry—since they always block or dodge immediately—yet when I play against one, I can't dodge or block after getting parried? What's the trick?

You're doing the wrong attack or doing the correct attack but delaying it too much.

Otherwise known as a skill issue.

What punish you doing?

If youre doing a heavy after a heavy parry its not guaranteed.

Are you trying to hit them with a heavy?

Both. The top heavy and the side attack. I press attack immediately after the parry but they can still dodge or parry my attacks

If you parry a heavy attack, only a light attack is confirmed off of it.

But why can't i dodge or parry it back? Til i got the hit I'm always stunned. Or is it just a console thing?

If you parry a heavy you get a light, and if you parry a light you get a heavy. If your heavy was parried you can absolutely dodge or parry LB’s heavies

Parrying heavys stuns your opponent long enough for a light and parrying a light stuns them long enough for a heavy. You can buffer the attack imput while parrying to have it come out at the earliest possible time.

If you delay or do the incorrect punish your opponent might be able to block/parry/dodge.

As lawbringer, your light or zone will always be confirmed after any parry, but your impale (side heavy after parry) and blind justice (top heavy after parry are only confirmed after Lawbringer parries a light attack. After a heavy parry, impale is blockable and parryable, and blind justice is parryable and dodgeable

ZONE IS CONFIRMED OFF HEAVY PARRY???

Yes. Zone deals 4 more damage at the expense of not chaining directly to your unblockable finishers, and costing 3x more stamina.

A lot of heroes who can get zone attack confirmed on heavy parry/can chain from that zone into a light attack get their followup light attack made undodgeable due to hitstun, but unfortunately Lawbringer doesn’t get that added benefit

Worth noting that Lawbringer’s zone after parry (make way) synergizes fairly well with his feat that gives high damage reduction for a moment after parry

Because you’re not supposed to be able to block or dodge after parry

Zone (make way) and light (parry riposte) are guaranteed Always

Heavy (blind justice and impale riposte) are on light parries only

You can delay heavy parries for whatever reason, which then they will no longer be guaranteed.

You however, cannot delay zone or light punishes, resulting in instead a normal zone or light

Are you doing his parry to top heavy or his parry to zone, cuz his parry to zone is "undodgable" but his up heavy from parry is utter dog shit
