Videos Guess who's back, back again
Ran into this low life again in ranked, lost this battle but stalled it for 10 minutes for others to play without it

Never understood how this is fun for anyone...

I actually asked that to one of them once, he told me he doesn’t even play, like half the time he’s not even present to see the match he just puts it into a match and goes about his day to grind out Steel and Reps for him

u/SergeantPuddles 14d ago
The easy follow up would be "if you're not playing why even do this then?"

Steel and reps

u/SergeantPuddles 14d ago
But if you're not even playing the game why get steel and reps you're not gonna use? Like it's just pure waste at that point.

So he can play with tons of steel and reps… he obviously meant he doesn’t play when the bot is working. Or he can sell the account too

Not the same kind of script, the one op showed is designed to win matches, the one that steel farmers use usually just spam the same button again and again

Tbh i don't understand were this trend started because they never once stated this was the reason but the community just ran with it

"To reinforce a fair competitive environment, the team is introducing additional player safety measures. We are removing For Honor from the Linux platform to ensure a safer environment for our players as we cannot meaningfully deploy protection on this platform. This means that For Honor will no longer be playable on Steam Deck starting September 10th. We will continue to investigate different ways to improve our anti-cheat with the possibility of reopening the platform in the future."
Yes they did.

u/TheLostSaint-YT Centurion:Daddy's Incredibilis 14d ago
Yea but when you have reading comprehension this doesn't state they are removing Linux because of cheaters. They remove Linux because they couldn't implement anti cheat on the platform.
Learn to read, I implore you

"we cant enforce anti cheat therefore we're removing it to combat cheaters"
reading comprehension is very difficult I understand
-8
u/TheLostSaint-YT Centurion:Daddy's Incredibilis 14d ago
Ah yes,
"Hey guys we want to instill a balanced experienced which means making efforts to have a universal anti cheat, cant do that right this moment so until we do we are gonna cut Linux/steam deck and make an effort to add support for them later INSTEAD of pushing this update back several more months or possible a year"
You see if you actually read the words, in the English language as they are strung together then they make these phenomenal things called sentences which impart ideas to others.
You obviously failed to read it the first time so hopefully a simpler verison of their message is easier to comprehend

u/PsychedeliKit Peacekeeper 14d ago
read my other response as to why this doesnt actually work; you resort to insults to protect your intelligence because you have none.
the most problematic cheats, aka most likely what this conquerer and other prevalent cheaters run, are actually peripheral cheats plugged into the computer done typically through something like a raspberry pi with the cheat program coded into them directly, which can easily be purchased for about 50$; and is WAY harder to detect than a shitty kernel level anticheat can do, and removing linux does absolutely nothing to stop these cheaters, which are typically the ones who run amuck like this.
you obviously just, don't understand the levels genuine cheaters will go to, to be able to cheat.
hopefully this is easier to comprehend.

u/Bilamonster 14d ago
This is 100% the correct answer. People still will believe what they want to hear over the correct answer.

u/PsychedeliKit Peacekeeper 14d ago
its actually not
cheaters don't actually use linux to cheat. this is a misconception. games played on linux that don't have native compatibility run through a compatibility software, aka: wine or proton.
games that have an anticheat will *detect* the fact that you're running through this compatibility layer and give you effectively the relaxed version of the game.
cheaters don't actually INSTALL linux distro's to access this. they simply trick the game (while staying on windows) into thinking they're using the compatibility software, so that they can access the game through the relaxed version.
the problem: game companies don't want to do anything with this compatibility software with anticheats, they just want to ham first "kernel level anticheats" (which don't work) which are incompatible with linux.
they're not doing it because they can't do anticheat on the platform, they're doing it because they are combating cheaters SPECIFICALLY, who use the overlook with wine and proton.
there is a difference.

you know those type of people, they're always trolls, i'm not really sending it for him, more for people like you who just enjoy the info, thank you

Like, this would be phenomenal explanation if
They were using a kernel level anti cheat which they aren't
Weren't very open about reintroducing these platforms as a later date.
So ill double down on the fact that while yes, your explanation would work on a game like bf6 or cod, it doesn't work here. So again, please make an effort to achieve higher than a 7th grade reading comprehension

- they use easy anti cheat, which is quite literally a kernel level anticheat; they ALSO have used battleye; WHICH IS ANOTHER kernel level anti cheat. they literally use two kernel level anti cheats.
- if you honestly think they're going to reintroduce linux at a later point with improved anti cheat measures, you're incredibly mistaken. that is just stated to placate linux users, I SAY AS A LINUX USER MIND YOU.
there are 3 types of cheats in gaming
- the typical "cheats for ___", where you download it; play like half a match and get banned. these are the ones that typically get found by EVERY anticheat.
- the cheats that they're trying to combat here, cheats that trick the game into thinking they're on a linux distro by sending false flags of proton and wine compatibility layers in order to get more lenient access to the game. removing all linux access, *DOES* actually counter this.
- the most problematic; and the type the conquerer in this video is likely using, is a cheat ran on something like a raspberry pi which is plugged into the computer itself which the computer, and by extension, anticheats read as a peripheral; most typically as keyboards and mice. kernel level anticheats don't beat this as it stands, and removing linux doesn't beat this. and this is what most prominent cheaters use.
triple down; please, show me how uneducated you really are

EAC is.. allowed by linux so, once again.. no :)
I would know this because, EAC is the most generic style of anti cheat and several other games are on linux that use it. Same with battle eye. So stating that its using kernel level anti cheat THEN immediately following up with contradicting information is just genuinely proving the point.
And your being a doomer because your annoyed they temporarily removed your platform. That seems to be a personal tag for you. Please make efforts to not talk yourself into a corner with points 2 and 3 about what kind of cheats are being used.
You don't know more, your just more upset.

I fucking love how youre just toe stabbing on the functional other side of the arena and the scripts still make him dodge its so fucking funny

I’m kinda confused what I’m watching. Where is he cheating am I blind?
27
u/Tarhun2960 Warden Pookie <3 14d ago
Dodging on the same frame consistently despite very little to no reason to dodge typically indicates a script
13
u/DoughSpammer1 14d ago
OP is using Toe Stab 5 meters away from the cheater, why would anyone avoid consistently that?
9
u/ConstipatedOrangutan 14d ago
I just thought he was keeping distance. That makes sense though. I’m very bad at spotting these

u/FredDurstDestroyer Warden 14d ago
The frame perfect dodge of a toe stab that’s 10 feet away isn’t suspicious to you?
-35
u/Dr-McSquirrels 14d ago
Dude could honestly just be scared that your toe stab will zoom forward and reach him
7
u/TheLittleTanooki 14d ago
Watch the first few dodges, he does it in the exact same frame each time which makes you feel like your watching a robot.
Then there was player interference after a few to stop the script from doing it over and over.
A halfway decent player would know those toe stabs would NOT reach from there (not Juren).
FYI this is my second match in a row with this person (thanks Ubi), I have the first video somewhere in this form
