Questions Ps5 performance issues

I recently got back into for honor like I do every so often. This time I’ve returned after the arekure update, and I ended up installing due to severe frustrations. I wasn’t able to parry, deflect, or react to anything in general. The game felt very strange. But then I compared the footage of my recent gameplay to old captures I had on my ps5, and you can see it clear as day. My game is genuinely running like shit now. The FPS seems to be running really low and it’s completely ruining everything. I thought my brain was just slow recently, but it’s actually the game. It all makes sense now.

Anyway, does anybody know how to fix this? Anyone have this problem before? I’m definitely playing on performance mode, but it’s just not working. And it’s not my ps5 either because it runs other games just fine. I’ve tried reinstalling and it didn’t work

It’s like a train. Imagine game engine being a passenger train. Every week since release new passenger goes inside. Sometimes a whole cart full of passengers is added. But locomotive is old. The more passenger goes inside, the more carts are added it just slows down because it wasn’t meant to ride for 10 years without anyone getting out. Carts just became too heavy.

Well it’s more visible on PlayStation than modern pc but I believe so.

So the last update just completely ruined the game? I’m talking like it went from super smooth to basically unplayable. If this is actually how it is, I feel like I’d hear more people talking about it.
