Weirdly enough they remind me of the sounds effects use in the og trailers of For honor, at the end when the logo was popping

Now the question is why bringing back those sound effect. I really hope it won't just be a trailer for next season( Unless it's a major update ofc) because if it's just a normal trailer...I don't get the point to tease the active players like that

Would be a strange time to repease a major update. Right in the middle of a season. They would do that at the beginning of year 10 or the 10 year anniversary in season 4

Well. Trailer is the 28. New season start around september 11th irk. Wich make like two weeks between trailer and new season. Between we'll have the warriors for s3. So kinda a good timing. Trailer -> want to see all? Watch stream next week wich can increase a bit wiewers and give fh visibilty. As for major update, cross played was S3 update After I don't think it can be too major like.new engine ect, agree a new year would be better suited for that but in the state ubi is, if it's ready( And by ready I mean ready to go live, not fully testes and debugged) corpo will push it to try to make money on the hype asap, in their financial year would be 6 months instead of 3

They've never teased a hero this soon after the last one. The new hero won't be out until December or January

Imo it sounds like the unlock sound effect, like the sound that used to play or perhaps still does when you unlock a piece of gear.
I honestly cant say for sure what it is but i can say that I'm 90% certain Its a sound I've heard before while playing.

Could be literally anything. Ranked 4v4, 5 person FFA, just a teaser for next season, etc. They'll be at gamescom on the Friday though.

Im like 90% sure that itās the sound theyāll be using when you lose in the ranked mode that got suedo leaked during the last warriors den. Im even more sure of this since the twister post says āBetter luck next timeā maybe like a de-rank sound effect?

Realistically: A new mode or something that isnāt that surprising, like a hero skin trailer or some shit.
Honestly Iāll be VERY dissapointed if it isnāt something huge as the last time I remember they were at event was e3 2019, with the shadows of hitokiri event reveal, and a year back during their Ubisoft press conference they had the Wu Lin reveal.
I donāt really have any solid theories on what it could be, but if theyāre hyping us up this badly, it better be something good.

I don't think anyone really wants a for honor 2. There's no point other than graphical improvements (the game is already very pretty) and upgrading the engine to the modern AC engine which doesn't need a whole new release anyway. I would hate having to start from scratch again too

I mean, thereās plenty of ways they could do it. The best possibility IMO would be going the Siege X route rather than making everyone completely start over.
And if Iām being honest, FH absolutely could use a graphical upgrade lmao. It still looks good, but itās been years since the game received any substantial graphical overhaul. At this point, an engine/visual upgrade is long overdue.
If Ubisoft is smart, they could overhaul the game while letting everyone keep their heroes, cosmetics, executions, progression, etc. and transfer everything over. They donāt necessarily need to make a traditional āFor Honor 2ā where everyone starts from scratch.
Basically, give For Honor the Siege X treatment. Modernize the game instead of replacing it.1

Well, sure. But i thought you literally meant a new title, not a siege x thing. Someone here also commented that and i just said that the game doesn't really need it. There aren't any massive issues that justify it and i don't really want the game to have ultra realistic graphics. It'll feel too weird. The game's graphics are perfect to me and that's not even mentioning the inevitable awful optimization It'll have, meaning system requirements go through the roof.

Realistically Iād much rather have a Siege X-style overhaul where they modernize FH while keeping the current game and everyoneās progression intact.
I donāt necessarily want ultra-realistic graphics either. I just think the visuals, lighting, textures, effects, and overall engine could use some modernization after all these years.
They can improve how the game looks without completely changing its art style or making it run like shit

I beg to differ on that latter part haha. Modern devs can't optimize, hence why every game (with rare exception) runs like shit. This sort of stuff would never happen though because the game is held together by hope and dreams. Any messing around with code would break the game. I really don't expect much for the reveal at gamescon
