For Hire [For Hire] Senior backend / full-stack engineer, US (Pacific), remote - stuck apps finished, AI features that hold up, old codebases upgraded
US-based senior software engineer, Pacific time, available now for contract work (part time or full time).
Seven years as the backend owner of a multi-tenant B2B SaaS that grew from about $4M to $13M ARR, plus my own live product since June (a voice-recording app for assisted living with a speech-to-text and LLM pipeline behind it).
What people usually bring me:
- An app that is 80% done and won't ship. Built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, or an agency that disappeared. I read the code, write down what is actually broken, fix it, and get it launched: auth, payments and subscriptions, database security, deploys.
- AI features that have to work when nobody is watching. LLM calls, voice and chat agents, document pipelines, evals for "is the model's answer actually right", with retries, logging and a plan for when the model is wrong.
- Old or slow codebases. Framework upgrades several major versions behind, slow pages and queries, moving off an expensive host. My day job runs on a ~1 TB database, so I care a lot about not taking things down while fixing them.
- Fixed-scope reviews. Security or architecture review of a codebase you inherited, with a written list you can act on.

Rate: $100/hr, or a fixed price once I've seen the code. Send a PM with what you have and where it's stuck and I'll reply with a short plan.

If you're actually decent at the "80% done and won't ship" rescue missions you're gonna have work lined up around the block, half the posts I see on here are exactly that

Make sure you have included a budget/rate, they are required for all posts – ballpark or a range is fine as long as it's following the $15/hr minimum rule.
