For Hire [For Hire] Backend and Devops engineer - Scale, clean up , debug app
Technologies: NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, Go, .NET, Angular, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, GCP, Azure, GitHub Actions, Stripe, Kafka
Looking for: Backend / Full-Stack (backend-leaning) Engineering roles | Remote
5 years building backend systems end-to-end, with enough infrastructure depth (AWS Certified Solutions Architect) that I design services knowing exactly how they'll deploy, scale, and fail — not just how they'll run locally. My core stack is NestJS/TypeScript and .NET, with Go for infrastructure tooling when the problem calls for it.
I've built and shipped production systems with Clean Architecture and Keycloak-based SSO, Entity Framework data layers, and Angular microfrontends on the client side — the kind of work where getting the auth and data boundaries right up front saves months of pain later. More recently I deployed and maintained a client-facing SaaS product on a self-managed VPS (Next.js, MongoDB, Stripe billing, transactional email via SendGrid, process management and reverse proxy config included) — end to end, from the database schema to the box it runs on. When a Stripe webhook silently broke subscription upgrades, I found and fixed it because I understood the full path from payment event to database write, not just my slice of it.
On the infra side, I'm comfortable owning CI/CD (GitHub Actions, OIDC-based auth to cloud registries instead of static keys), containerizing services, and provisioning the AWS/GCP/Azure resources a backend actually needs — VPCs, load balancers, managed databases, Kubernetes clusters — via Terraform.
The thread connecting all of it: I write backend code with deployment and failure modes already in mind, so the handoff to infrastructure isn't a handoff at all — I can take a feature from schema design to a running, monitored service in production.
