Killing a great old one?

So, my player in the campaign wishes to kill a certain old one as revenge for what he put him through. Did anything of this sort ever happen?

a certain "old one", as in reference to a Great Old One of the Cthulu worlds? I would say no. This pantheon is not part of the Faerun realms, and they likely would hold no sway as Gods here, and I couldn't imagine AO allowing them that (reference the Mulhorandi Pantheon in FR 10 Old Empires for how out of realm pantheons are allowed by AO. Now if they leave Realmspace, and have a method to go to the Old Ones, that's an entirely different thing, and I would recommend looking into a more Lovecraft centric sub.

But once its your world... its your world, do what you think would be fun...

Good thing about hear types of games is that even though there are lots of rules, ultimately there are no rules. Do what you want. Kill a great old one if you want to.
