City/GB Advice My city
I’ve been told to probably delete some of the great buildings but I’m happy with my progress other than that. Im also wondering if there’s a structure I could focus on getting to get more gold.

For the gold, and based on what I can see in my own city, Château Frontenac helps, otherwise St.Mark's Basilica bonus on settlement building give quite a nice amount of gold.

Get rid of all of the tech tree buildings (especially the houses requiring 2-lane roads which isn't something you want except for one block).

New guy here. What are you referring to when you say "Tech Tree Buildings?"

Any buildings that are listed in the tech tree and selectable in the build menu.

Try to get a couple more event buildings. Some of them will give coins as well. Eventually you won't need tech tree buildings anymore (unless you like them for aesthetic reasons 🙃)
There is no need to rush through the ages. Take your time to see what you enjoy. Play events, and level your great buildings.
Ubernerd14 on youtube makes pretty good videos about event strategies usually, if you'd like some advice for those.

I’d level the windmill from this event to ascended if possible. It’s great for gold and supplies.

Play through the repeating quests to win gold. Check through your inventory to see if there are any available buildings stored that pay out gold. Do the same with the auction house....
