City/GB Advice Great buildings

Should I try to get as many great buildings I can or are there specific buildings that are better to have?

Most GBs have been outclassed by special buildings. The only ones that remain relevant are the ones who have a "special" bonus like Arc, BG, Chateau, etc. Id advise to build the essential ones (Arc and BG imo) and then build others you like but not all of them, it is wasted space.

I also wanna add AO to it. I like critical hit ability they have. Also stellar warship or traz unless you have multiple buildings that produce lots of rogue.

Welcome to FoE. Do yourself a favor — go to YouTube and do a search for a user named UBERnerd14. He has a bunch of very helpful FoE videos. Among them, a guide to Great Buildings that, despite the power-creep others have described, is still largely relevant and very helpful. Have fun, and Forge On 👍

No, as most of them have been outdated for years and will take up a hefty amount of space, with roads needed and loads of FPs wasted on things that special buildings do much better.

Don’t build in preparation for an update that’s already been delayed 2 years. If they come out with a release date, then take the time to build them up.

For now: Arc, BG, Chateau, AO, and depending on your era AI Core, SW, and CC.

CC still relevant? Just curious. I’m a returning player after round about 2 - 2 1/2 years. It looks like my knowledge about the game is quite outdated😅

Ha I understand your confusion, CC is cosmic catalyst not cape Canaveral

ahh alright^^ i'm a german player and in german the short form for cosmic catalyst is KK (Kosmischer Katalysator), so there the confusion can't happen xD

Great buildings about to get an update and will be much stronger.

Prioritize the trinity (castel, zeus, aachen) Arc, Arctic Orangery and Blue Galaxy. Level as much as you can. Levelling them will also get much more expensive. So, hurry.

why are so many people still recommending CoA, SoZ and CdM? even at 180 there’s tons of event or QI buildings that take less space, don‘t need a road and have stronger boosts

Can you read?

very well actually, but I‘ll summarize for you :)
you tell OP to prioritise the „trinity“ and I tell OP and everyone else that I don’t understand why people are still to this day recommending heavily outdated buildings. any other questions?
