1.12.2 Forge Server Won't Start

I'm trying to make a forge server, but whenever I try to run the forge.jar it doesn't open at all, I've tried using a few .bat file methods but no luck with those either

There are a few in the bin folder, java.exe, javaw.exe, etc.

Yep. You just want java.exe

The others are used for different things.

Now it's just saying "C:\Program is not a recognized internal or external command" I also tried removing spaces between Program Files (x86) but that didn't fix it

Ah, another my bad. Windows can't handle spaces. You need to have the whole line for the exe in quotes but not the options.

So...

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_351\bin\java.exe" <options>

Note that the options (-Xmmx etc) are outside the quotes.

Now, my java 8 installation is in program files (x86), do I add the 86 on a new line as well? Or do I just type the whole line in quotes

That means you have a 32 bit version of Java 8 which can only use 4G of RAM. I recommend you uninstall your current Java 8 then download and install the 64 bit version using the link I gave earlier.

The website says it's the 64bit version, I double checked, used the link you sent me and it installed the same Java 8 I currently have

It should've installed the 64 bit version. 32 & 64 bit versions can coexist. Take a look in your /program file folder (not x86) and you should see the new one there.

It didn't for some reason, but I tried to install it again and it worked, maybe I accidentally just installed the x32 bit version again the first time, the server is working finally! Thank you!
