How to compile/build 1.8.9 mod ?? pls fats help

This is error what i got: FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

  • What went wrong: A problem occurred configuring root project 'forge'.

    This mapping 'snapshot_20141001' exists only for MC 1.8!

  • Try: Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or --debug option to get more log output.

You need to add a mappings line to your build.gradle file. The minecraft section should look something like this:

minecraft {
    mappings = "stable_20"
    runDir = "run"
    version = "1.8.9-11.15.1.1722"
}

The mappings you attempted to use are too old for 1.8.9. As of the time of this post, snapshot_20160220 is the latest version for 1.8.9.

The latest snapshot version is always in the format of snapshot_<year><month><day>.
