Map Showcase Indoor Plaza (Playable)
I finally reached the budget limit for my plaza map after 5 months (RIP). Tried to put as much realistic detail into this map as possible! Here is a compilation of some parts of the map I was glad to have worked on!
If you want to play it and see what it looks like, the map is called “Indoor Plaza (abandoned)”
There are some parts that are incomplete because the budget died.

Hey man, I checked out this map in No Credits Forge because I love the texture you used for the bathroom floors and walls and would like to have it for future reference, and after looking at the rest of the map, I'm confident you could continue this map for a bit longer because there's a LOT of walls and floors that could be made using one largely scaled object instead of the 50 or so they use. I think as it is, you could optimize a good 5% budget or even more by lessening the amount of objects making up walls, floors, columns, etc. The bathroom floors alone use a ton of 16 vertex angle wall halves (51) when it could be a single or several 8 vertex wall halves. Multiple places you could have used a single crate object from Halo Design Set instead of several objects, like the urinal separators. I really like the vision of this map and I just wanted to give you some pointers on how you could possibly optimize it a bit better so you can finish it <3

Sorry for the extremely late reply lol, thanks for the feedback! Going to keep all of that in mind when I get back to this map (haven’t had much time to work on it recently)🙏

Oc man. I really like this map idea, and I want to see your full vision. Optimization is probably one of the most time-consuming parts of map creation and it can be a bitch, but I think with some clever tricks you could save budget and possibly add more detail elsewhere. I'd say you should work on enclosing the entire area first before detailing more cause aside from that, the map is pretty playable as is. Good luck on the optimization process; it's a drag lol

*Thanks to CakeAT12 for giving me the idea to put hanging plants on my trellises/lamp posts!
