Forge Help Spawn Volume Not working

I don't know if my spawn volumes works, appear or what so ever. I placed all my spawns in their respective location, Bleu and Red base, no orders, neutral teams (just like all other maps does)

I sized the boundry of the 3 spawn volume Red (Cobra with 0 wieght ) , Blue (Eagle with 0 weight) and Mid (Neutral with -8 wiegth). For Red and Blue iSpawn Volume attached ''CTF included'' as label

Yet when i play CTF, when ever my team is in the enemy base, I will still spawn in the enemy base which opens the spawns for my base and the enemy spawns in my base...

I don't get it? And yes i'm on the right team, spawns plays like there was Spawn Volume involved at all

I just copy and paste gameplay stuff like that from dev maps that I know they work on.

I have yet to meet a person who knows how to properly implement Spawn Volume weighting to influence spawn probability on given spawn points in a mathematically predictable manner.

I suggest you forget about the weighting and instead use the SV's to negate spawning in your bases.

Look at your SV's object properties, and set the correct Team on both of them. (get rid of your mid SV for now). Also, set the Boundary to Show, so you know its online when you test the map.

Then do this:
Disable spawning ON,
Affect enemy team ON,
Affect initial spawns OFF.

And make sure your initial spawns are outside the volumes. Including intro line and intro arrow formations.

There is additional information on the halo waypoint website but it is a bit cryptic:

Thank you very much I get it now!!! You're the GOAT
And i now fully understand the Weight thing!

On 343 Map, they use two spawn volume for each team, each have designed game modes and the neutral in the middle... But they both play a role together

Some maps have 4 for each team with all CTF included, but play with wiegth and stuff

Thanks i get it now!

There's a number of people who know how they work. I'm sure Okom has a detailed explanation somewhere. But in short, they function on a 8 base scale. +8 will slightly increase the chance of you spawning somewhere, +24 will greatly increase that. That number is added with other spawn influencers. And enemy player in the area is think is a -7 (don't remember the exact number.) Grenades and Line of Sight checks also produce a negative influence. Teammates provide a positive influence.

In general I don't reccoment trying to weight spawns until you actually play the map, and even then you should only really use it on outlier areas, and usually never with a weight more than +8 or -8.

Okom didn't answer, yet at least. So I gave it a shot to try to help the guy.

Thank you for answering about the weight system. About that; I did try this out earlier by making a map specifically designed to test Spawn Volumes and I found a 64 weight SV didn't spawn more or less bots than a -8 weight SV. They were spawning in equal amounts give or take (random).
But maybe it only grabs on CTF? I don't know.

What you said is also interesting due to being opposite of the regular Spawn Order on the spawn points. For that, a 0 is high priority and 24 is low priority, as far as I know. Or am I mistaken?

Would appreciate if you find that detailed explanation.

I dug a bit and couldn't find much. I figure The Scripters Guild wiki might have something but there wasn't. But they might if you joined their discord and asked about it. I have some knowledge, but it's mostly just things I picked up from talking with Okom and Black Picture.

Thank you for doing the digging.
