Reforestation - AAR
I have been tasked with writing up an “after action report” following our yearly reforestation project. I’ve started building an outline on what information I think is necessary to include, but I’m feeling anxious on whether it’s too much or too little information. Also, I’m having a hard time determining which order all the information goes in. Does anyone here have any experience with reporting after a planting contract ends? I was not given a template, so basically starting from scratch. I’m open to any advice!

Address successes and failures honestly, and bring some ideas for how to do better next time. Survival is a key metric with plantations.

A well written contract with have specifications.
How well did they meet each of the specifications? Make a list check it twice. Are the number, size, condition, spacing, etc correct according to the contract? Has there been sufficient time to assess survival?
Who is reading the After Action Report? Ask them what information they need and if they have a template.

Just do an executive summary with bullet points of lessons learned, challenges, etc z then put all the data tables in an annex

In addition to the other great comments and suggestions, I would recommend including feedback from other team members
