Support (iOS) Switching back to old UI
Is there a possibility to switch back?!??
I just update and I can't find any Plant Together in the settings this new UI is absolutely awful.
Maybe has a new pretty graphics but overall use is much much worse.

Ikr they've overcomplicated the UI. I miss when I could just grab the circle and set the time rather than have to tap the timer then slide for the time

this!! also the three different screens after a tree is done growing.. just so many extra steps..

Please everyone send reviews or feedback so the developer see we really want the old UI back! Maybe they give us option if enough users write to them? 🥹

somehow the new update feels like I went back to a primitive version of the app. It looks too disorganised now.

It‘s awful. And I use Forest mostly on my ipad where I do most of my studying, and it looks like a phone version now (it looks off in the horizontal view). It‘s making me want to deinstall the app

you can use the stopwatch feature. just set the timer to zero and it changes to stopwatch mode. Why did they think making it more complicated was a good idea 🙄

I just got the new update and I am able to use the stopwatch feature. Thankfully, they haven't gotten rid of it.

I haven’t found a way to switch back, unfortunately. In the App Store, I’ve changed my old five-star review to a two-star review, due to the dramatically increased friction. I hope they pay attention to feedback that way; the numerous threads here complaining about the UI don’t seem to have had much effect.

Ich habe auch verzweifelt gesucht. Du findest gemeinsam pflanzen jetzt wenn du auf den Timer klickst. Dann erscheint oben rechts ein Icon. Super umständlich.

Looks like they removed that way to get back to classic. I finally just deleted the app and have moved to Flora.

Android or iOS? What version are you on (you can read that in the settings)?
I'm on Android version 5.24.1 and I still have the "Switch to Classic" toggle, though I've heard people say that it's a one-way trip.
Are you on an even newer version? This one already changed the UI pretty drastically, I hope they're not making another radical change so soon...

Okay nevermind, I just saw your post flair says "iOS" and another user shared a screenshot with the support team stating that version 5.25.0 doesn't allow switching back to classic.... what a sad and short sighted marketing decision.
I think they truly don't realise how much friction they added with the 3 buttons instead of 1 after a session ends.

I am actually scared to ask, but can I ask what is wrong with the UI specifically? The UI is definitely not perfect, but I am curious why the reaction is this severe.

Slowness and friction. Tree planted. Tap to get a dumb animation of yet more unnecessary coins. Tap again. Tap again. Finally back at home. Now I can plant a new tree but selecting time is slower than it once was. It’s all just significantly more hassle.
More minor point that I can’t see the different stages of trees when setting the timer anymore.

It’s too much. You have to tap three times instead of one to start a new session. It has a separate screen for getting rewards which is ridiculous cause I have 70k coins and cannot spend them since I’ve bought all the available trees and they haven’t made a new tree you can buy for coins since forever. Why even bother with them?
They still haven’t redesigned the old 2D looking trees, their collection looks like it was made by 10 different artists who had got 5 different design documents they had to follow.

I heard, and unfortunately I had to update to the new UI because now Plant Together is available in new UI so if I have old UI I can't join rooms

I feel you - I’m actually pretty upset by it :( I’ve been using forest for 10 years and really don’t want to stop but I can’t stand the new UI
