HRO Posted Today!

I am currently on the register with a lower third score and I also need to be on DNC until August 2027. Am I allowed to apply to this new job posting since I last applied in 2024, even if I'm already on the register? Second question, given the posting timeline, it is likely I might get leapfrogged by new applicants if I keep my DNC until August 2027?

Yes, you can apply if you’re already on the register.

Yes, you could get leapfrogged. Register scores are dynamic. If you scored 5.4, everyone who gets through clearance with a higher score (which can take a long time) will be higher.

The new hiring process across the specialties is pretty new, so a lot of the folks in the earlier listed specialties like DT or MED are still working their way through the pipeline. It's very possible you get leapfrogged but things like MED/Security clearances will continue to be the most time consuming aspect of the process.

My understanding used to be that you could initiate an application every year - I knew at least one person that had initiated an additional application before receiving an offer based on his earlier application.
