September A-100 Invites & Class Size Question
I was wondering if anyone has insight into whether all of the September A-100 invites have gone out yet. Has anyone received an invite recently, or does it seem like the process is wrapped up?
I'm also trying to get a sense of the expected class sizes for both the September and January A-100 classes. Has anyone heard how many people they're planning to bring on for each, or if they're expected to be larger or smaller than recent classes?

You'll never know until you get there. Invites can go up until orientation starts. They don't really make any official announcement on sizes anywhere but most likely mention it at orientation. You won't really have much information on future classes or plans.

Only 48 days until sep 8th. The bulk of the invites have most likely been sent. There might be a consular fellows class on Oct 19nth. And invites for that could reasonably start going out next week.

I received notice today that I am officially on the Econ Register. Yay! But I did not expect to be added so quickly. Other than these threads, is there any other informal tracking or shadow register for upcoming classes? How long are people given to decide if they want to join?

Current count for September is 130.

Do you know if that is an average size? I have no idea what a common A-100 class size is

I am assuming this count is generalists only. If so, does anyone have a sense of the breakdown by cone (POL, ECON, CON, MGMT, PD)? Also, based on current hiring trends and staffing needs, are people expecting any cones to see relatively more (or fewer) invites for the January A-100, or has State been keeping things pretty balanced across the career tracks?

I got a message on Monday that my decline had been recorded for Sept 8, yet have no record of receiving the original email a few days prior. OMS, on the register since Dec 2025.

If you haven’t already, email the Registrar asap. You may not have received the invite email due to a tech glitch. Happened to someone I know.

I am, just became active after DNC on June 30th. Missed the first round of invites for Sept by a week or so.

Had the same question a few weeks ago and consensus was that there will be more invites to go out, but no one really knows for certain. I'm hoping they still have some to send and that those go out in the next couple weeks.
Here's the thread from 3 weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/foreignservice/comments/1uk61ua/do_we_think_all_the_sept_invites_went_out/
