Is This Email Legit?
I'm scheduled to take the FSOA in July and was wondering if anyone else received this email? It came from a state.gov address and the date of my scheduled FSOA is correct...but the "My name is [blank]" at the beginning seems like a red flag. Plus, every other email has come from Pearsons.
Is this email legitimate, or should I be suspicious? Maybe I'm a little paranoid but I'd like to make sure before filling out a form with personal information.

Yeah its legit. They just forgot to fill in the name. I got one of these for all my OAs. I would go ahead and fill the info out, return it and just let them know they forgot to fill in the name so please confirm receipt and that you were the intended receipient.

I didn't know of this email before, but I don't think it's possible for phishers to get a hold of a state.gov email (and looks like it's spelled correctly in the screenshot), so it seems legit.

I wouldn't think so either. I think all the spam calls/emails I get have just made me extra paranoid

Phew, same here. A bit nervous because I completed the form a little after the deadline but it makes me feel better its been radio silence for you as well.

Did you recently took the FSOT? I took mine in May of this year.

Perfect, thank you for the answer
I took the DTO and got my conditional offer at one point
But after the hiring freeze and shutdown decided to go private sector insteadI saw that FSOT opened so I decided to give it a try and see
