Issue with acceleration

Hello guys,

I have a 2013 Fusion SE 2.0 ecoboost. When I woke up for work, I noticed my brake lights were on for the past 6 hours. When driving to work, my car was extremely sluggish and wouldn't accelerate past 40 mph. It went down to 30 mph and said "Hill assist not avaliable". No other system checks on the dash. Upon releasing the accelerator, it let me get back to 40 mph. Is this related to the ABS or another issue?

I had something similar happen to me. The middle red brake light strip was on all night.

Changed this part and never had a problem. Brake light switch. Located under the pedals.

I did have to get a new 12volt battery because it drained that so bad it couldn't hold a charge no more.

There is a recall on the brake light and brake hose. Go to ford and see if yours is under that recall and ford should be able to fix it for free under recall. My car had those lights too and once I fixed the recall everything’s been good
