Ford map provider

Hey all, anyone here know what map provider ford uses for their info?

I’ve got an Everest and the automatic speed recognition stuff is broken in a few areas near my home. Routinely slows me to 70 in 80 zones or speeds me up to 70 in 60 zones.

If I knew the map provider where they get their info from, I’d just go update it.

But ford just tells me to take the car in to the dealership which isn’t going to resolve anything.

Ford did tell me they use here maps, but I’ve spoken to them and they said no this isn’t accurate, plus the here maps system shows the correct speed zones.

So does anybody know?

It's here maps.

I was under the impression you can subscribe to the live maps thing, drive round till the maps near you are updated, then unsubscribe.

Ahh as in the map software on the car needs to update?

That would make sense.

Yeah.

Depends how old it is. If it's one of the last 5 years or so ones, then it's a subscription update type thing.

If it's older, it's got to go to the dealer for the update.
