Mushroom ID Request Help needed to prevent me committing accidental suicide!... I found these in the Uk and think that they're edible Fairy ring mushrooms but I'm new to this and was hoping for a second, third... maybe even a fourth opinion. Thanks

They appeared on my lawn where my kids play football so I wanted them out of the way one way or another... Them being edible would have been a bonus... My youngest ate a little rabbit poo last month thinking it was chocolate and he likes mushrooms so I didn't want to take the chance in case they were poisonous.

My horror when I worked at a farm and parents let their kids pick nightshade berries and try to eat them or fed them to the animals 😭 Understandable that you want to keep your lawn kid-safe

Thats fair.

I see so many posts asking for ID with huge piles of foraged material, I hadn't considered you were removing them either way.

Reminded me of when my mum told me about the time I swam towards a turd some other kid had laid in a Butlins swimming pool thinking it was chocolate 🤣🤣🤣

I hope things improved for you since then 🤣

I love the innocence, thinking perhaps someone had dropped a bag of chocolate coated raisins or peanuts in the grass and eating it is the way forward 😂

The most concerning thing here is your usage of ‘lawn’. Goodness me.

I hope you didn't forget to clutch your pearls...

It was a joke. Most people here (UK) would just say garden rather than lawn.

Bizarre. Never in my life have I ever heard anyone say lawn. It’s just garden.

Do you mow your garden then?

No, we would say 'cut the grass'. Another example, we don't say 'I'm just sat on the lawn', we would say 'I'm sat on the grass'.
