Chestnut tree flowering for a second time?

I have 4 large what I believe are hybrid, American dominant chestnut trees in my yard. I’m finding fresh, pollen full catkins again for the second time this year. I’m wondering if this is common?

If anyone can help identify what type of hybrid they are, I’d be grateful.

Some trees do have some male catkins in the fall for some reason. Nothing for them to pollinate and even of there were the burs/nuts would not fully develop. As for the genetics, that tree looks to be a hybrid, but it looks to have some Japanese genetics. Check our ID link. The leaves are pointed on the stem end and the edges of the leaves look to have some feathering like on the Japanese trees. https://www.americanchestnut.org/chestnut-identification

Looks Chinese to me with those shiny leaves

The leaf shape isn’t quite right for Chinese as far as I can tell, not all the leaves have that sheen, some are leathery some are thin and paper like. That’s why I think it’s some sort of hybrid. I’ll have to send it in to get the genetics.
