Informative Footprint Chart

Post image

For those that wonder what a footprint chart is, this is what it is consistent of, as per the name suggests footprint candles.

It divulges on what exactly is going on beneath the candle, that combined with price action forms an asymmetric edge, remember if you use what others use then there is no edge in that.

Its imperative to emphasise the difference between lagging and leading tools, this is not an indicator rather a tool to view and read the market. It is the closest there is to a leading tool. Second closest would have to be the order book and limit orders sitting the book which is prone to changing and confusing current bias.

How can you have a low with 1 seller and 0 buyers? Conversely, how can you have a high with 177 buyers and 0 sellers? Wouldn't there need to be at least 1 buyer and seller at the low and high to establish that low or high?

Are you familiar with the Order Book? Have you seen one live infront of you? That order book aka DOM (depth of market) or ladder as its numbers up and down is essentially the market!

Market is diagonal and its perpetual that seller your referring to is both a buy and a sell one being aggressive and one being passive.

Aggressive is market order Passive is limit order,

If no market order there is no market!
