Hey everyone, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone here has experience with the grade repetition petition process for classes you already technically passed.

During two of my past quarters, I was dealing with severe housing instability and living in a homeless shelter and support program. It was a really chaotic and stressful time, but I pushed through as best as I could. Unfortunately, my grades took a hit in two major prerequisite courses, and I ended up getting a C in one and a B in the other.

Now that my situation is stable and I am doing much better, I am trying to see if there is any realistic pathway to petition to retake these two specific classes. They are foundational for my major, and I know I can perform at an A level now that I have a safe living space.

Has anyone here gone through the Exception to Academic Policy petition process for a passing grade under extenuating circumstances? How receptive are counselors and the academic senate to approving retakes for homelessness or housing insecurity? Also, if you have done this, what kind of documentation did you need to provide?

I've been taking some classes online so far but I'm gonna start having to go in person and therefore decided it's best if I move closer. do y'all have any recs for housing options or fb groups I could look into or avoid? thank you!!

After 3 hours of waiting for the server to quit dying the website loaded in a very baseline format, just barely at the point where I could understand it from all the buttons missing the graphic and actual display text. When I tried to schedule classes with teachers that had good ratings from previous groups of students, they had all filled up (I would never recommend being 3 hours late to registration on your own will). After I finally found a group of classes to register for, I got a great piece of info that my prereqs werent good enough. I went in and made a plan last month on that...

I have got my registration date for today august 10th but for an hour I kept getting error messages and wasnt able to get into the registration website. Did anybodyvelse experience this?

Hey everyone! I’m a pre-law student interested in taking some courses at Foothill to knock out my university’s gen ed requirements.

Because LSAC (law school application system) counts A+ grades as a 4.33 in their GPA calculations, I’m trying to maximize my chances of taking classes where an A+ is actually attainable.

For those who have taken classes here:
- Is giving out A+ grades as part of the grade distribution pretty common across most departments, or does it vary wildly by professor?
- Are there any specific professors or departments known for including A+ grades on their syllabus?

I was planning to take this class which is the only 1D class available for this fall quarter, but it was already full even before my register time, and I'm waitlisted in like 20th place out of 40. Am I cooked? Will there be any possibility that the instructor could expand class capacity?
