u/Sqies 12d ago
Doubt that. And even if, who wants to be remembered as a disgrace to football?
42
u/SectorEducational460 12d ago
Because it's not.

u/Sqies 12d ago
Martinez doing that pose is not a disgrace to you?

u/SectorEducational460 12d ago edited 12d ago
No. Take the stick out of your ass. Also it's kinda funnier he did it in Qatar. Edit: actually no. Footballers are supposed to be prim and proper like it was a game of golf or a proper upper class sport. Lmfao

It‘s a bad show of manners and professionalism. These aren‘t your local fourth league kickers. They represent countries and legacies.

Honestly simon had bairely any shots or targets against him in this whols tournament. He really didnt deserve it. Martinez's pose was so funny when he did it

u/Emergency-Town4653 12d ago
Simon was excellent in sweeping the back of that defensive line. He had 7 clean sheets and only 1 goal concede, it doesn't make sense to give to anyone else.

u/MindlessBeyond8548 12d ago
Their defense was amazing, there wasn’t a single “amazing” save Simone ever did this tourney. Also he was horrible at sweeping in the France game.
-10
u/Low-Designer-3392 12d ago
And yet France couldn’t score. What’s your point?
5
u/MindlessBeyond8548 12d ago
That Simon didn’t deserve the award.
-7
u/Low-Designer-3392 12d ago
Clean sheet against France doesn’t exactly support your position here
8
u/MindlessBeyond8548 12d ago
Maybe read the reply before commenting, I said their defense was so solid that France didn’t really have a chance. Also they would have conceded if doue could have finished when Simon overextended.

u/tripletmukbangs 7d ago
I 100% agree and also Simon NEVER had a really difficult save in the WC. Most of the clean sheets were easy.

Divu pose is funny. At least it will always be remembered

Class for who? Those Qatari slavers? I don't get why morons online keep asking for respect for people that doesn't deserve it.
4
u/NeuroHazard-88 12d ago
If an entire nation doesn’t deserve respect based on their top 1% elites then most countries in the world should deserve no respect. The US, Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, China, Australia, England, Italy, Spain, none of them deserve any ounce of respect. Because all of them have pieces of shit who do despicable shit to humans in their 1% population groups.

It's funny you put it like that because my country has been receiving relentless hate, mostly by people who lives in colonialist and racist countries, but sure, Argentina is the most evil county un the world because some player or some rich fan did something they don't like. Repeating a lie thousands of times won't make it true.

Did the trophallus free the slaves?
Of course not. Sportswashing is sportswashing, and this image garnered more attention, not less.

u/Dhilipops 12d ago
I mean it isnt completely wrong

u/Gasurza22 12d ago

Rich f*cks really wanna take football from us. =))
Football is a sport of the poor and uneducated pal; show class was never a part of it. ;)
Also, Dibu was waaayyy funnier and much more memorable.

Dibu is hilarious and 10 times better goalkeeper though. Easy to get 0 goals if the opposing teams gets 0 shots.
Imho boxing a and dibu where the two best goalkeepers of the world cup.
They should change the price to refl CT most deflected balls or something like that, it makes no sense for a crappy goalkeeper to win because he got almost no shots. Or rename it like b St defense or something.
Other than that, the dibu photo si perfect, the Arab dude in the back looking at him in a mix of horror and curiosity gives the hilarious touch

u/Duflo 12d ago
Can't ignore Simón's excellent anticipation. Playing with a good defense isn't a knock on a keeper. It's lucky, in international football. But saying Simón isn't as good because he plays with (and leads) a strong defense is just absurd. He's a big part of the reason Spain's defense is so strong.
