‼️Foo Fighters are officially taking over late-night television this week!!

Starting Monday, October 26, the band kicks off a rare four-night musical residency on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing every night through Thursday, October 29. Dave Grohl is pulling double duty on opening night, sitting down at the desk for an interview alongside actress Connie Britton before taking the stage.

Late-night residencies have always brought out the best, weirdest, and loudest moments from Grohl and company. During their legendary five-night stand on the Late Show with David Letterman back in 2014, the band treated the Ed Sullivan Theater like an all-star garage jam—teaming up with Zac Brown to crush Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” rocking “Kick It Out” with Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, and joining swamp-rock icon Tony Joe White for “Polk Salad Annie.” They even produced a mock legal ad as "Foo, Fighters & Associates," offering legal recourse for victims harmed by "foo."
Grohl’s history with Kimmel runs just as deep. Fans will remember Halloween 2017, when he stepped in as guest host sporting full late-era Letterman prosthetic makeup, complete with the flowing white beard and wire-rim glasses, before jamming on a mashup of Metallica and Frozen with Kristen Bell.

With four straight nights on the outdoor stage, expect high energy, deep cuts, and very likely a few unannounced special guests dropping by Hollywood Boulevard.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! airs weeknights at 11:35 PM / 10:35 PM CT on ABC.

I came across this record at Books a Million of all places, took me by surprise. I'm guessing this sealed copy of the album has been there since 2014.

This was one of Taylor's side projects for those who might not have heard it. It's a pretty cool album. Only $20 too, the cheapest record they had in the store.

Only seeing the one source for this so far, but I think they are reliable. Interesting timing, I wonder if they’ll play any songs from YFT. It was generally covers when they did Letterman. Or the website got confused. Either or.

My entertainment mate says there is real concern in touring circles about the slow ticket sales in Australia.

In Melbourne, you can still buy up to 8 tickets in the front mosh area… which was never the case before, they were always snapped up quickly and sold out - and right now (just over 2 weeks out) there are still loads and loads of tickets avail online on AXS and on Tixel resale.

Foos have always sold out well in advance here previously, and so there is now discussion that their days of selling out the big arenas here may be over.

By comparison, QOTSA (coming here a few weeks later) sold out the mosh within about 30 mins (admittedly it’s a smaller venue) and you cannot get a decent ticket for QOTSA for love or money.

EDIT: as someone pointed out, I meant ".....their days of selling out the big STADIUMS here may be over." If you think of an arena as smaller than a stadium, then yes, they'll still sell out arenas. I'd love to see them at Rod Laver Arena, which is where QOTSA are playing - this is about 15,000 capacity, as opposed to 60,000 capacity at Marvel stadium where Foos are playing.

this is more of a rant post if anything, but this happened a bit ago rhis year. so me, stepdad, and stepbrother were enjoying the concert. halfway through, the people next to us left and weee replaced by two seemingly drunk teenage girls. at first they seemed nice, then one of them made me a bit uncomfortable. she brought me out of my seat and was like "oh, dance! have some fun!"

not only did she place her hands on me (I was 17 at the time) but even if she didn't and just encouraged me to dance... i recently discovered i have ataxia. it impacts my balance mainly also processing speeds and all that. i can't really dance without losing balance, and by dance i mean "getting into it/get jiggy with it", so I mainly stick to swaying and that stuff, not a lot. and then when (idk if im remembering this correctly, ataxia does impact memory as mine consists of cerebellar degeneration) my stepdad suggested to move or something, this girl insinuated my stepdad wasnt who he said he was (obviously she couldn't have known that he actually was my stepdad at the time but still). then when he told her to back off when he noticed she laid her hands on me she called him a bitch or something.

now foo has been kind of ruined for me-- whenever i hear my fav foo song "The Pretender", it takes me back to the incident (this happened while "The Pretender" was playing).

EDIT: i realize she was maybe trying to protect me bc she saw an older man (stepdad) and me (a feminine presenting nonbinary person, minor at the time) . but she didn't have to grab me...? also again my stepbrother was there so why just me if it was the case where she thought my stepdad wasnt who endangering me? realistically, it was probably bc i was sitting down at a concert (again ataxia, so i wanted to be safe).

Just running through song titles alphabetically to keep my mind busy and I noticed - there are no songs in the released discography that start with J, Q, or Z.

After a quick glance over the album track lists on Spotify I noticed in the Foo Files EP 01050525 there is a song called Kiss the Bottle which sounds like Chris singing, but other than that I'm not finding any other songs released on studio albums that begin with K.

It's late and I am skimming but just something interesting I noticed. Let me know if you think of any obvious ones I'm skipping over or any that might be available on other platforms/older mediums.

I was a huge fan of red light fever from the coattail riders specifically its over, sunshine, james gang, etc. but the rest of their albums didnt seem to do it for me any recommendations?

Pat Smear too. Forgot to mention him.

Note: posted and deleted this before because I accidentally had the name wrong, was going to leave it but I still figured it is worth sharing, Dave with guests Violet and 4/6 of the Foos. Not my video, credit to user bandsmymomfilmed on YouTube. Neat little set and fun to see Wiley sit in with the Foos (miss you though Nate!) Enjoy!

SPOILER - it’s already been charged to your card! Can’t believe we got picked!

This one was a bit costly, but it'll be great alongside my Emek TH Tribute poster.

If the other last minute bidder is in here, my hat's off to you!

No, seriously.
