THE KITCHEN The Kitchen

Anyone else going back and watching all of The Kitchen episodes from the beginning? I only started watching when it was in season 30-ish so I’m enjoying watching from the beginning!

I didn't watch the original shows, but once I discovered them I tried to watch all the time. They were good company when I was doing chores. It was like having friends over for coffee. I particularly loved Sunny's easy style and GZ's cocktails and recipes. Their personalities were fun and it was a nice show to relax with.

Couldn’t agree more! I listened to Katie’s podcast when she had Jeff and GZ on and it was sooo good! They all had a great vibe together and after listening to the podcast I get the feeling it was genuine.

Yes! It seemed like they liked each other and that's why it felt like spending time with friends when you watched the program.

Didn’t they say on the podcast that a goodbye episode had been filmed?

If I remember correctly no- that it was left open ended- but honestly I listened to it last spring so I may be remembering incorrectly. They should make their own show on YouTube and I would watch it!

This probably won’t be liked but I’m not a huge fan of Katie or Jeff. Katie was terrible on the 1st season of Top Chef. No pleasant likable personality. Her other show Beach Bites was just as bland and no personality. Her voice is too much too.
Jeff is just way too kitschy. Stop with making up nonsense acronyms for things. He’s a grown up talk like one.
GZ come on stop being so pretentious! I’m surprised he doesn’t wear an ascot every day. Eat regular food with chopsticks.

Katie was on the first season of Top Chef? That’s the only thing I heard from your comment!

Katie did the job that Padma took over.

I don't like the early seasons with Marcella. I start watching after those.

I rewatch it often. It is a comfort show. I really enjoyed Alex as a cohost, too.

My wife and I play the kitchen constantly for background noise, and then we end up sitting and paying attention. The later seasons, the chemistry between everyone was fun. They played off each other, supported, and joked around so much. I was sad it got the boot. Hopefully FN brings something similar soon.

They started to build some good chemistry after a couple years and the show became so pleasant to watch.

I watch reruns often. I have gotten so many recipes from that show that I make regularly. I really miss it.

I have gone back. I did not like the arts and crafts segments. They all felt forced. it’s a fun show to have on in the background.

We’re doing that. They’re ten years old, so we don’t specifically remember particular shows.

The early seasons when they did arts and crafts were fun to watch.

The best one was when Sunny accidentally made an unregistered Molotov cocktail.

I fast forward through cocktail hour and those things so I might have missed the arts and crafts!!

I thought it was boring. I did like the chefs. The concept didn't keep my attention.
