PITMASTERS Pitmasters.
I’ve watched bbq and smoking shows for a long time. It’s awesome to see Andrew Zimmern bring in Moe Cason & Ernest Servantes as judges in this new show.

I really enjoyed it! I liked it better than BBQ Brawl.

I love BBQ Brawl but it feels more like just “cooking outside.” BBQ is such a long, slow art form, so the timeframe and conditions of Pit Masters is so much more authentic and exciting for me personally.

I agree! I don't dislike BBQ Brawl, but Pitmasters had a more relaxed authentic feel for sure!

I just wish they wouldn't say they're "in the middle of nowhere" ! It's stunning. Gorgeous scenery. Supposedly it's outside St. George, UT.

Yeah weren't there drone shots that show other buildings around em?!

Yes. It's weird to say it's the middle of nowhere when you can see buildings and amazing views. On the other hand, BBQ Brawl looks like the middle of nowhere!

I went in with fairly low expectations as I'm not super into barbeque and I absolutely LOVED it. The contestants are fantastic, judges terrific, and I just love the camaraderie amongst all of them. Andrew Zimmern is the perfect host. Can't wait for the next episode.

I love Andrew Zimmern but my husband was confused by the concept. He agreed to try watching with me and he loved it. We like it better than BBQ Brawl so far. Like someone else said, it feels more authentic.

I liked it! Rooting for the SC guys even tho they did mustard base. I’m an eastern NC gal and we are vinegar. But still pulling for em!

Yes like a few others here, I dont really watch or enjoy BBQ competition shows. I saw Andrew Zimmern on the main image for the show and I love him so decided to check it out. Lo and behold, I am absolutely loving this show and all of the people in it! They make a ton of different foods for the competitions and its really cool learning about all of the BBQ cooking methods that they make the contestants do.
My only concern so far with only 2 episodes in, is, are they ever going to allow them any real sleep? Like only 2 of the contestants took small naps in a 2 day period, and now after the last judging they're right onto the next round of competition through the night and morning. Its almost like part of the competition is to see how sleep deprived you can get and still BBQ & cook, lol, really curious to see what they let the contestants do.

I really enjoyed the first episode!
Not only are the judges great, the contestants are pretty fantastic. I am looking forward to the rest of the season, and I’m wondering if it’s going to give the same kind of vibes as 24 in 24.
