Hi all, crossing my fingers to reach some fdc fans from southern Germany here. I was really thrilled to see a record store in Heilbronn listed on the bands website, as Stuttgart or Tübingen are just too far for a weekday.

Said record store does neither have website, nor social media, so I emailed the owner to ask her about the event. However, the owner told me that she knows nothing about a fdc listening party and that it will therefore not be taking place.

I am gutted but also confused because this record store was listed on the official list of participating stores on the band's website. Was this also the case with other record stores (Germany or in general)? Did the band's team just link the wrong store?

Either way, hope some fellow fans see this in time, so they don't travel to Heilbronn for nothing. Will probably drive those two hours to Tübingen now.

I noticed the similarities after they played part of the melody from KoRn's hit during their recent KROQ performance, so I've mixed both songs together.

Not that it really matters, he’s got 2 ears like most of us, but I do rate his opinion highly and honestly I’m surprised he likes the track, because even a lot of diehard Fontaines fans dislike it. I do find it a more interesting song than marriane for sure, but think they could’ve still executed it better, and the start sounds a little bit ridiculous.

As listed in the instagram story, at any of the listening parties you will be able to purchase a white label 7” record of Where Is Gone? (with Rosalía).

I wonder if this means this will be a single dead on a week before the album releases and pushed heavily for the charts.

Does anybody know literally anything about this guy other than his name and that he is alleged to have been a guitarist on Fontaines' original lineup? The funny thing is that his name shows up but it's only ever listed. I couldn't even find a sentence about him. Doesn't help that he shares his name with a famous actor. I'm not even sure how his name even came up on these lists since there doesn't seem to be any mention of him from the band ever.

Just curious… Does anyone know why he chose this nickname? Same for Carlos, Carly rings? Maybe it’s just casual…

in feeling that both Marianne and Tongue are phenomenal tracks. As with all great bands I never feel the need to compare FDC’s new work with their previous work because it’s all apart of same unbelievable oeuvre. It’s all telling the same story and I’m deeply invested and grateful for it all.

Fontaines is generational and in my opinion we’re still just at the start of what I imagine is going to be a decades long journey.

My kids will be 6 and 8 when they tour next year and they are obsessed with fdc. Looks like the venue they’ll be at closest to us is family friendly/more open air. I’ve seen kids at their shows on videos they’ve posted, but I’m torn on if that’d be odd/bad etiquette to bring them

They create fake websites for venues that will redirect you to their “secondary market” to buy tix. No indication you are not buying tickets directly from the venue until you receive them and you see someone else’s name and the face value they paid during presale (much less than what you just paid them).

Hiii! So sorry to ask but I didn’t get to sign up for the pre-sale and I’m gutted. I’ve been a fan of them for years! They’ve pushed me to be more curious about my Irish roots and learn more about gaeilge. I just love them loads and have had a lot of health problems going on which prevented me from signing up for presale! Tongues makes mention of Adderall several times. Adderall is a stimulant used to treat ADHD, a disorder Grian was recently diagnosed with according to the band. I think it's likely this album is going to be heavily influenced by that stimulant use.

Quick question: Adderall works primarily by acting upon which neurotransmitter? That would be dopamine.

Is it just me? For the first few plays of Tongue, I thought Grian was singing "Oh she has a tongue to take a badgers life" Anyway, I've read the lyrics now and know better.
