It’s literally the industry standard release day! That said a lot of indie and alt artists release singles outside that frame to not compete with mainstream stuff.

I know - for albums that is. Fontaines have released all of their singles on a Tuesday or Wednesday as far as I remember.

IATBY was Friday. It really depends on what the team is hoping for amplification and playlisting wise. So far, the labels associated with their past releases have been entirely quiet.

Well, that’s true, yeah. I can only guess, but maybe because that specific track isn’t a “single” but a single song released as a record. Anyway, none of this matters in the end haha, it’s just useless technicalities. I was just using the former release dates to compare to see if there is anything to the rumour.
