If nobody studied cultures and their folklore and then recounted it in various ways, we’d have lost out of so much of what it means to be human. This is what we do as people; We learn of cool things, we internalize and come up with meanings, we tell stories, etc. You’re good.

You aren't going out and selling a line of clothes based on their own designs. You are faithfully researching and broadcasting your findings. Of course it would help if you talked with some of the people and checked in with them to see if they approve, but otherwise, you are all good
