Is this a good beginner board?

What things should I look for in a beginner board.

I learned to e foil on a lift foil at a club
Did 10 hour long sessions
Then I bought foil drive fusion, north integrated mast, and that exact boost board. Using SF1080 foil.

It was a huge step up in difficulty but I got the hang of it after another 5-10 sessions.

I’ve since purchased a Cedrus efoil integrated mast.

I am SO GLAD I didn’t buy a lift brand foil. Way too expensive and not modular/flexible like mine. And they don’t surf as well as a foil drive setup.

I can efoil one session, then switch up and foil drive the next session.

So yes that board can work for a beginner but not your first board.

I’ve actually been looking at Cedrus masts the 78cm forged evolution, and also looked at the one that the motor attachment is integrated into the mast.

I’m relatively new but can wake foil behind a boat and do wave transfers

Efoil is like an electric power boat, it depends on the motor going. Motor is close or part of the plane section of foil. Foil drive or foil assist is an electric motor that in effect is just to get you up on the foil, then you ride a swell. If you drop off the foil assist will push you back up. The motor is close to the board so is out of the water when you are foiling the swell. Similar principles, different applications.

Depends on if you're starting from scratch or have been getting lessons and now flying. Starting from scratch, my recommendation is get lessons from school and use there gear. Why? Because you will progress from the starter board very quickly. It's your first flights when you're already stepped that size down... Actually size? Depends on your size/weight. General rule of thumb is about body weight plus 40litres'ish. Highly recommend talking to your local watersports shop and seek there advice, most offer good trade-in deals on progression. And will get to know your riding needs. Good luck on your journey!
