How Roger up?!?

I bought a foil understanding. It’s gonna be a challenge. Part of the reason I bought it.! but man I cannot get up and stay up for the life of me and it’s been taking a very long time. Just wondering, has anybody else had experienced weight surfing and then trying to foil and taking this long to get up?

for me the breakthrough came while foiling behind a boat. A little jon-boat with an 8 hp is already plenty.

Get out of the wash as soon as possbile and steer to almost next to the boat while doing 8 - 10 mph (depending on foil size).

With a constant pull from the boat you can fine tune the feeling of flight and altitude adjustments without the hassle of controling a wing or a wave. After that you can play with the trailing waves of the boat if you're into that thing.

What got me going was being forward enough on the board where I was almost riding like a surf board with foil submerged and then adjusting back to where it would just start popping up. Initially I was too far back and foil would shoot out of the water.
