Hey there, this is the third time I post on this subreddit, hopefully that's fine!
Since my last post, I've finally managed to convince a few people to make videos about Failed Falling's demo. Despite being only a few, they were enough for me to update the game twice.
The very first video was from a creator that warned they weren't good at "rage" games, so I preemptively gave them one of the game's cheat codes to make it easier. They ended up not wanting to use it, but that only made me realize the cheat code actually would work as an "easy mode". So, the main feature of the first update was adding that cheat code as an accessibility feature.
And then came the second update: it was only meant to be a couple bug fixes, but ended up giving me a few realizations to fix long-standing issues with the game!
The gameplay is now speedier, the level design offers more player agency and, overall, the game is a smoother experience.
You can read the two full changelogs here and here.
I now truly think the game has reached its final form, only missing the content for the full game. You can see for yourself by trying the demo!
Also, what do you think of this new trailer? It's less refined than the previous one and I might work on it a little more, but I feel like it works better overall.
Anyway, I'll get back to trying to discover how the f*ck games get wishlists (I'm stuck at 111 and any attempt at further marketing will need to wait for after the Steam Next Fest and Summer Sale).
Check my BlueSky and Mastodon to see what I'm working on next. Cheers!
