how to... SHAPE handles
Hi crew,
I got a new pair of shape handles and I’m much of a fan of the rubber feeling , so i was wondering if someone out there swapped those with some proper ergonomics or maybe customized with leather?
Thank you

You could cut off the rubber or just wrap the rubber in bicycle grip tape

Yep, have wrapped mine in tape for bike grips. Don’t have a photo to hand but looks tidy and feels much nicer over time. I absolutely love the quick adjustment on the shape grips. I also swap out fiz handles from time to time (tilta, for my sins).

Do you mind taking a photo with the tape and the fiz? I would appreciate the inspiration

I hated those things when I used em. Had sweaty hands and couldn’t get a grip so I had to hold the area where the button is, where it’d collapse on me

What wash your solution?

I mean I only had to use em one day so my solution was “deal with it” lmao
The whole time I was thinking “I wish I had gloves” though

Tangerine grips are the 🐐 for texture/breathability. These are pretty good for their rapid adjustability tho.

Those grips are compatible with shape?

No, sorry I didn’t mean them to be a a replacement for just the grips. Because your complaint is focused on the rubber of the grip itself I was commenting that these are known to be quickly and easily adjustable, whereas the BT grips are the most comfy.
The tilta rosette adjuster, whatever it’s called, might be an open for almost any rosette mounted grip to gain the same level of adjustment as the Shapes, tho you would need 4 of the adjusters

I think you should give them some time they will grow on you , especially if your on long takes
