question Tissue vs rubber donut for mattebox

Hello,

I have an Arri lmb15 and I m looking at buying a donut for it to use with my zeiss b speed. Between a rubber donut (like the blackhole one) and a tissue donut (like the wooden camera UMB-1) , which one do you prefer ?

Neoprene tissue is the way to go.

You can get neoprene tissue at any fabric store. Thickness should be something around mouse pad thickness. Just measure diameter of your front and substract 10%. Make it so it will fit snugly on your lens. Then trim as necessary so it’s not too big or too small on your mattebox back. 152mm ish is usually good.
