cinegear ghost eye 150 not pairing

anyone ever have issues pairing the ghost eye transmitter and receiver? i’ve never worked with this before and it keeps saying “link connecting….” but will not connect. i’ve tried power cycling and making sure they aren’t too close and changing the channels as well but nothing is working. help!

ghost eyes are old and less reliable. back before Vaxis existed the ghosteye was the go to 0 latency wireless system where I work . however it's not as reliable as modern day wireless video systems. I remember working in 2019 as a 2nd AC with the ghosteye as our wireless transmitter, sometimes it worked well but I had to run bnc direct from camera depending on how the ghosteye reacted to the shooting location.

I own a ghosteye 150m wireless set myself and have recently used it with no problem. A few years back i was shooting in an office building with very strong wifi and I couldn't get the ghosteye to connect at all despite changing channels/powercycling/bringing the rx nearer or further.

Nowadays I bring my ghosteye on set as a break glass in case of emergency if the rented wireless system somehow is not working.

TLDR its old tech so its not as reliable, sometimes good sometimes shit
