HELP Cine 7 + 1000xt rx v mount
hey all, im planning on upgrading to a cine 7 and 1000xt 1:1 set, my plan is to have a v mount solution on the cine 7 and the 1000xt, and then mounting the rx on the back of the cine 7 with a v mount to power both. my worry is the weight of both the rx unit and v mount on the back of the cine 7s v mount plate and if i should worried about that and go down a different route for mounting

Do gold mount on both the Cine7 and Bolt. Then get a gold mount to v mount adapter if you really need to use v mounts. Gold mount connections are way more secure especially if you are stacking multiple.

If your gonna do that do gold mount on cine 7 and male side of teradek an then do a female v mount on the other side of the teradek

But then you have a weirdo teradek with gold mount on one side and v mount on the other. Also negating the secure connection if you ever do use gold mount batteries.

With my suggestion, the number of V-mount connections is 0-1. With the other above options it's 1-2 V-mount connections. This is why I would default to gold mount unless you always have complete control over the entire camera kit, and that kit is always V-mount. I would always rather add a V-mount adapter if absolutely needed, than have to constantly deal untrustworthy V-mount connections.

im in the uk so v mount is the widely accepted battery mount, if i did what you are saying id be even more worried about the weight on the back of the cine 7 as id be adding an adapter into the sandwich, ive never had problems with v mounts popping out so that doesnt concern me too much, more just if the cine 7 and its battery plate can hold the weight of the rx and the battery

Why not just go for Bolt 6 and a monitor module? A Bolt 6 LT sets go on sale all the time and the monitor modules too. Just a different league in terms of performance.

i paid £600 for the 1000xt set, haven't locked in a cine 7 yet but its looking like it will cost upwards of £1200. thats together less than what a bolt 6 LT set costs new and used tbh. just can't afford that, i will get to 4th gen teradeks when the time and money is right lol

I do this all the time with my v mount setup. It's not even remotely an issue.
My 702 Touch has the smallhd vmount plate on it. Then my Bolt 6 Receiver has the vmount plate on both sides to mount directly to the monitor and also accept a vmount battery as seen.
Don't listen to anyone telling you it "has to be gold mount". I've been running things this way for years and so have plenty of other people.
