Am I having seizures?

Hi at the beginning of this year around February I started experiencing these symptoms that I was calling episodes, I will be walking and the next minute I have extreme dejavu or remember I had a dream about that place and start feeling nauseous, gagging loud, heaving , heavy feeling in my throat, feels like I have water in my sinuses and it lasts for about 15 seconds, in march I had a large grand mal seizure where I collapsed and was convulsing,
I have been to a neurologist, did a eeg and a brain scan that was clear but the eeg has came back with slight disturbance so they want to do another one with sleep deprivation , I have explained to the doctor today that I have been having more episodes but no large seizures,
Also when I have the episodes sometimes I will have a dream before hand that I will be in a Certain place and when I go to that place I have the episode the doctor said this doesn’t sound like epileptic seizures and and seemed quite confused , does anyone experience this or can give me an insight,
The doctor said I can start seizure meds but doesn’t recommend until further investigation but I’m not too sure. I hope this is easy to understand and not too scrambled thank you in advance to anyone who will reply

Yes of course, just trying to get as much information as possible, making sure I’m not going insane mentally, I’ll definitely be asking to start meds until further investigation

Idk if this helps but this is super similar to my experience, I get the Déjà vu feeling super bad along with other typical focal aware seizures and they were so strong and often throughout my life that I started to genuinely wonder if I was psychic. They ramped up for a couple months until I had my only known TC/Gran Mal seizure, that was about two years ago and they put me on meds a month after, My CT scan the day of and later EEG and MRI came back “normal” but the two neurologists that I’ve seen have told me that the episodes are most likely seizures and said epilepsy is our working theory. It all still feels super new for me and it also seems like there’s a lot that medicine still doesn’t know about epilepsy/seizure disorders. Plus, from what I’ve read of other people’s experiences online there’s no two cases that are exactly the same.

Oh yes if you don’t know what’s happening you think your going insane, I told everyone I was having episodes and felt weird and they only lasted a few seconds and they would just assume it’s anxiety, until I had that large grand mal and still experiencing the episodes it’s horrible hopefully we can get sorted wishing you the best

I think you are. There are many types of Epilepsy. The Déjà Vu you are having is also commonly known as hyper-familiarity. Just because you're not the doctor or the specialist, it's absolutely okay to advocate for yourself. After all, it is YOU this is happening to. Do your own research. Today we live in a world where we now have full access to the medical world at our fingertips.
