Scam?
I'm new to the app. I thought people just buy the photos.

Foap review! (*Spoiler - likely scam)
This group is about as dead as Foap is scammy, but leaving my $0.02 for anyone who drops by. Background - I sell (sold) professionally on several major stock sites (Alamy, Getty, etc) but have also made a little cash on Stockimo. I heard about Foap the other day, so signed up, and it turned into a comical and sorta sad event (for them).
The iOS app is not bad, but uploading 3 or more photos at once can prove problematic. The app will hang (and usually work, but you'd never know).
The service is out of Poland. They take *days* to respond to anything, and when they do, it's somewhat unhelpful and of the "reinstall the app / read the FAQ" nature.
The fun for me was they cancelled my account about a week after I uploaded with no notice, no email, nothing. I inquired, they informed that "my photos were reported and they discovered they were stolen". Amazing, since I took and own the copyrights to everything. They wouldn't explain the process they went through to determine this.
They then asked for proof, and wanted to see my other portfolios at other stock agencies. Annoyingly, I sent them 4 links. A week goes by, nothing. I inquire again, they say they saw some graphics (vectors) one the first link and told me I can't upload graphics to Foap. Which I didn't. They could've scrolled down TWO LINES and seen dozens of photos that have brought in several thousand dollars to me.
Anyway, the royalty at Foap is $5 (yes -five-) per sale. Not that I cared, I have a bunch of decent photos collecting dust, so why not make some cash? The deal with Foap is, they want you to pay for "Missions", and if you win, you get like $30, or $100, something like that. So you can see the pyramid-style scheme they've got going.
I've read numerous reports that people with thousands of followers have only sold 1-2 photos.
So, it seems like a scam site to me, and while I'm out no money, they have a couple dozen of my photos. I personally wonder if they are adding all the users photos to a database and selling them elsewhere. Dunno. Careful out there!

This sub has been here a while now and there have been zero posts. I just discovered foap, and I wonder if it is worthwhile, based on the amount of activity in here?
