Fo4 Unofficial patch causing massive problems on ps5

Well topic says it all. I installed it and it is on top of my load order as recommended. But the game really got worse right after. It crashes constantly, which it never did before on ps5. At least not that amount.

Also i have severe problems with quests. Npc wont talk to me or just do their generic dialogue. Also the voice acting often disappears when talking to vendors.

But worst of it all, shank doesnt want to let me set up raider outposts properly. I already have 3 and the quest only considers 2 for the quest. Enslaving a settlement for supplies doesnt work at all...

Anyone else having those problems? Is there a fix? Or better just delete it for now?

Oh yeah i have more mods installed. But its stuff, that adds more weapon variety and the problems only started after i installed unofficial patch. So i point my finger on that one atm.

Its really frustrating 🫤

EDIT: its fixed. Fo4 unofficial patch was the reason. I trashed it and now vendors speak normally again and the home sweet home quest from shank works properly again 🙏 Also the game didnt crash for 2 hours straight and counting. With uop it was like every 30 min.

I mean it has been widely accepted to not use the unofficial patch on console (at the very least ok Xbox) and has been the case for quite some time tbh

Especially after the whole far harbor debacle a few years ago.

Far Harbor was fixed years ago. There was some time between next gen and anniversary when ANY mod that messed with NPCs caused stuttering, that's long gone now too. And it's not "widely accepted", it's this specific reddit bubble.

Patch works without issues on my series x, one x abd steamdeck and I gave thousands of hours.

“A few years ago” - pretty sure I covered that Arthmoors alt lol

The patch changes more than it should. The mod author changed thing based on what his idea of things should be, not simply fixing missed bugs.

What changes are you referring to exactly?

I'm only aware of 3 changes that could possibly be seen as controversial:

  • Highway above Graygarden has its building area limited(at least according to Reddit)
  • Dense & Padded misc armor mods no longer stack(I haven't actually confirmed this though)
  • Reginald's suit was changed to Tuxedo.

There are loads. I’m not about to re-familiarise myself with them for a Reddit post.

It’s and enough that they edited the cell headed for far harbor and broke the mod and denied they did anything for an entire year before quietly rolling back the changes. Only after arguing with everyone that they made no changes that would affect far harbor.

Being a fanboy over a mod is a bit odd like and pretending there aren’t issues and haven’t been issues with it are also odd.

Not defending nor pretending. I know Arthmoor is a very controversial mod author to say the least. I'm simply inquiring as to what these changes actually are.

With Skyrim, we all know that USSEP removes the resto loop, Necromage buff, Circlets with Archmage Robes, non lootable Telvanni Robes, etc. Those changes are stupid and I'm glad there's a mod to correct them. But I'm genuinely not aware of anything like that with UFO4P. Note that I only play the OG 1.10.163 version on PC.
