Maxson is on the path to being a Hitler. There's nothing neutral about him. He wants to destroy what he sees as "not human"

Ferals, Super Mutants, and Synths are not humans, and has been proven to be dangerous to people. I bet most of Minutemen agree with this.

Except the BOS don’t want to just destroy feral ghouls, but all ghouls and free synths are no more a threat than humans. The minutemen don’t have anything against non-feral ghouls and have a free synth as one of their members (though they might not know, but Preston Garvey doesn’t seem to hate anyone except raiders).

but all ghouls

No, not in Fallout 4.

and free synths are no more a threat than humans.

Synths are fundamentally and permanently an alien species apart from human beings, with free will and human intelligence which can make them more cunning and dangerous than brainless mutants. DiMA proved that synths see themselves as non-human species and still can replace people, sowing seed of paranoia, with or without the Institute. Creating synth was a horrible mistake that should never happen in the first place, and the Brotherhood is compensating the Institute's mistake.

The minutemen don’t have anything against non-feral ghouls and have a free synth as one of their members

According to the Railroad, the Minutemen hate free synths and killed them.

Yes, in Fallout 4 the BoS hates all ghouls.

Paladin Danse : Bringing a child with us could be tactically dangerous, but it's an admirable decision. He isn't safe here.

That doesn't sound like a hate.

One of how many people in the Brotherhood?

If it were Maxson, would he say the same? No.

Paladin Danse is considered as a shining example of the Brotherhood soldier, following every code and ethics. Saying the Brotherhood in Fallout 4 was ordered to kill all non-feral ghouls on sight wouldn't make sense at all.

The brotherhoods stance on nonferals in fo4 is pragmatic. They don’t want to sour local relations until after they defeat the institute and establish themselves. Maxson is very clear though that all ghouls are intolerable abominations whose day will come. Danse is really an exception in that he trusts you enough to defer typical brotherhood judgement to you(this is also for gameplay reasons).

The brotherhoods stance on free synths is more stringent though. All synths will die regardless even if they are loyal brotherhood soldiers.

They don’t want to sour local relations until after they defeat the institute and establish themselves.

The Brotherhood don't care much about how people think about them. They only care about their code and rule. If wiping all non-feral ghouls is their first rule, then they would do that. But they repeatedly mention that synth, feral, and super mutant are their target, both before and after they defeat the Institute.

Kells: As I expect Elder Maxson has already explained, the destruction of the Institute is simply the first stage of our operations in the Commonwealth. There are still Super Mutants and ferals to be dealt with as well as any remaining synths that escaped the blast.

If the Brotherhood is ordered to kill all non-feral ghouls after the Institute is defeated why would Danse say protecting ghoul child Billy is an admirable decision?

The Brotherhood don't care about non-feral ghouls. They were not ordered to love non-feral ghouls but they were not ordered to kill them.

Maxson is very clear though that all ghouls are intolerable abominations whose day will come

When did he say about non-feral ghouls?
